What is DocuSign IAM?
The e-signature standard, extended with tools that extract terms, dates and obligations from executed contracts. The signing is the commodity; knowing what is in the two hundred agreements you have already signed is the new part.
Under UK law an electronic signature is generally as valid as a wet one for ordinary commercial contracts, which is why this category stopped being controversial some years ago.
The genuinely useful AI is retrospective. Most small businesses cannot say which of their supplier agreements auto-renews next quarter, and finding out by reading them is a week nobody has.
What does DocuSign IAM cost in the UK?
From £8 per user per month.
What to watch on the price
Figure read from the vendor pricing page on 25 August 2026 and not re-checked. Priced in pounds for UK accounts.
Does DocuSign IAM train AI models on your data?
Yes
DocuSign states it may "aggregate the personal information we collect, or insights generated or derived from the use of our Services, or remove pieces of personal information (“de-identify”) ... for ... research and product development (including training our artificial intelligence models that power certain of our Services)." Aggregated and de-identified rather than raw, but your agreements do feed model development. Read on 30 August 2026.

- Extraction needs checking — a missed break clause is not a small error

Not for
- Businesses with few agreements, where the contract analysis has nothing to analyse
- Anyone who sends in bursts and has not checked the envelope limits on their tier
The Torus verdict on DocuSign IAM
The signing is worth having on its own. The contract analysis is worth paying more for only if you have enough agreements that nobody knows what is in them.
