What is Loom AI?
Record your screen and your face, and get an auto-titled, chaptered video with a written summary. For distributed or part-time teams it replaces the meeting that existed only to show someone something.
The honest use case is not “async culture”. It is that showing someone a screen takes ninety seconds and describing it takes ten minutes and still gets misunderstood.
Watch what is on your screen when you record. A Loom made to explain an invoice process very often has a real customer’s invoice in it.
What does Loom AI cost in the UK?
From $18 per user per month.
Does Loom AI train AI models on your data?
Vendor does not publish it
Loom's privacy link resolves to Atlassian's group privacy policy, read on 30 August 2026. It contains a broad clause — information may be used "to repair and improve the Services, including for development, training, or fine-tuning of machine learning and artificial intelligence models" — but it covers all Atlassian products and does not state whether Loom recordings specifically are used. Not enough to record an answer.

Where does Loom AI fall short?
- Free tier caps video length, which is exactly where the useful ones sit
- Priced in US dollars
- Videos are hosted by the vendor by default — check that before recording anything with customer data on screen
Who is Loom AI for?
A good fit for
- Distributed teams
- Agencies
- Anyone onboarding staff
Not for
- Anyone recording a screen with real customer data on it without checking what is visible first
- Businesses that need long videos on the free tier, where the length cap bites exactly where it matters
