Universities and the Future of Truth: AI, Free Speech, and Power

What to expect

The evening panel in the Edinburgh Futures Institute's day on AI and universities, on what happens to public debate when AI systems mediate what people see and believe — and what role universities have in defending open inquiry against that.

Ninety minutes, free, at EFI on Lauriston Place. The most outward-facing of the three panels: less about how universities run and more about information, democracy and institutional trust. No technical background assumed.
