The University of Edinburgh is marking two remarkable milestones: 300 years of the Edinburgh Medical School, and its place in the history of AI, it was the first place in Europe to research and teach AI more than 60 years ago.
A full day at Edinburgh on AI across the brain health pathway — risk stratification, earlier diagnosis, prevention, and treatment — spanning epilepsy, neurodegenerative disease and neurodevelopmental conditions. Speakers come from both the university and industry.
Run by the Generative AI Laboratory, the CDT in Biomedical AI and Edinburgh Medical School, and free. The intended audience is researchers, clinicians and PhD students, with collaboration-building as an explicit goal, so treat it as an academic day rather than a commercial one. Eight hours at the John McIntyre Centre.
